Top 10 Writer’s Blogs Announced: Underground Included
By Tom Chandler on Dec 5, 2006 in Blogging, Copywriting, Writing
In a stunning example of just how bad the drug problem has gotten in this country, readers (and Michael Stelzner) have decided that the Copywriter Underground ranks among the Top 10 Writer’s Blogs.
Kudos to Michael Stelzner of the Writing White Papers blog for wading through all the nominations, and to Carson of Content Done Better for the nomination.
- Brian Clark’s CopyBlogger: This blog is the leader because it does an amazing job of helping writers improve their writing.
- Deborah Ng’s Freelance Writing Jobs: For freelance writers seeking new work, this site is your sole destination.
- Tom Chandler’s Copywriter Underground: This site provides regular doses of inspiration and writing tips.
- Liz Strauss’s Successful-Blog: This blog has some amazing insights into the craft of writing.
- Angela Booth’s Writing Blog: All writers will find something useful at this site.
- Kristen King’s InkThinker: This blog is focused on improving the written word.
- Anne Wayman’s The Golden Pencil: Wayman provides gold nuggets of information to freelance writers.
- Carson Brackney’s Content Done Better: Follow one man’s journey to write better copy and make a living along the way.
- Dianna Huff’s B2B Marcom Writer Blog: This is your destination to learn about marketing communications copywriting.
- Allison Winn Scotch’s Ask Allison: For writers looking to break into the publishing world, be sure to check this one out.
The Underground’s included in some pretty racy company, and each and every one of the winners is featured in my RSS feed.
My Trout Underground fly fishing blog was chosen as the top fly fishing blog earlier this year, and with this honor, my blogging cup clearly runneth over.
Thanks to everyone! Don’t forget to add value to what you offer as a copywriter, and to read the other winners! They’re all worth your time.

Imagine how much better Tom’d be if he had an editor.
Possibly true story: Writer and editor are out camping. A large pot of stew is cooking over the fire. Writer comes up to campfire and is distressed to find the editor peeing in the stew. “What on earth you doing?” he asks.
“Making it better,” the editor replies.
