I tried to use Flock when it just came out a while ago (a year?) and didn't see any main differences with Fireofox, plus it crashed lamely.

Will give it a whirl tonight though. As for eCorral, didn't know about it, will test it too.

As for that "bookmarks" thing... I've been using del.icio.us for quite some time now and don't find useful to have traditional bookmarks anymore. Only for family stuff that my wife and kids might find easier to use. But for my stuff, del.icio.us is the way to go. Bookmar anywhere. Use anywhere.

Laura; I've used both on and off, and they work pretty well, though I'm not what you call a heavy consumer of rich media.

Compatibility is a bit of a tough issue on the Internet; even Firefox and IE suffer some problems.

Very interesting Tom. Thanks for sharing these tools with us. I had never heard of either browser.

Have you spent much time on them? Have you encountered compatibility problems?

Joshua: Your link-building tip was handy. I think Flock could grow into something interesting.

Roland: Thanks for the handy work-around. Unfortunately, it's not quite the same in Flock, which I'm beginning to think is a better version of Firefox (though it's not in quite the same league as eCorral).

eCorral sounds interesting but I've long since used one of Firefox's standard features to deal with managing groups of pages relating to a topic I'm researching.

If you choose to "Bookmark All Tabs" on the Bookmarks menu, you can save all the open tabs to a single (new) folder in your bookmarks. There is a similar feature to open them all at once - which if done in a new window serves the purpose well.

Personally, I've been using Flock for several months now, and find it hard to go back to vanilla Firefox. It isn't the social interactivity that I find most useful, though. It's the web toolbar and ease of bookmarking. Together they save me tons of time.
