I assumed you’d stick your pole against a rock and twitch the line every now and then while writing post drafts for your loyal fishless minions.

Hey Tom,

I was sorry to see your name was not on the list this year. Michael, I think, favours blogs that update every day or at least a few times per week. If as you say you have “de-emphasized” this blog in terms of posting frequency, that would likely be a major stumbling block.

As with any competition or “lists”, there will be disagreements. Not to take away anything from those who appear on this list, but I can honestly say that I would still put yours in the top ten — if not the top three even — of my personal favourites, regardless of frequency.

Looking forward to more!
